Introduction to Visual Design

Explore line, shape, texture, space, motion, value, and colour while you observe, analyze, and create compelling visul compositions. Learn the design process, creative thinking, and effective critique and make intentional visual choices using a diverse range of artistic and cultural references, building the visual vocabulary that's essential for further design coursework and creative professional practice.

Applied Graphic Design

Bridge the foundational knowledge from the previous courses with advanced applications through the creation of polished designs across print, web, and mobile platforms. Learn to integrate concept development, layout systems, typography, colour theory, and UX considerations into professional-quality projects. Leave this course with a versatile toolkit and the confidence to execute effective, engaging designs for a range of comtemporary media.

Typography

Thoroughly explore typographic principles, from the origins and classification of type to its use in contemporary digital and print design. Examine the anatomy, structure, and expressive potential of type as you gain fluency in layout design, legibility, and the creative integration of type across different media. Colour Theory & Design

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe InDesign

Introduction to Photography

Adobe Premiere Pro / Digital Darkroom

Train to craft polished video content using Adobe Premiere Pro. Explore real-world editing workflows that include timeline structuring, motion effects, sound design, and colour grading, all while developing a fluency in non-linear storytelling. The hands-on projects and professional export techniques used in this course mean you'll build the ability to produce industry-ready digital media across commercial, web, and branded platforms.

Web Design

Understand the foundational principles and tools of web design, with a focus on structure, presentation, and user-centered development. Explore how HTML and CSS work together to build responsive, accessible websites, and examine the essential mechanics behind modern web pages.
